The following programs and organizations will benefit from the foundation:

 IIT(Illinois Institute of Technology)

Developing and testing computer chip implants to create artificial vision in the visual cortex of the brain. IIT just received a grant from the Army to continue the development to continue to progress to human trials.

Schepens Eye Institute 

Fighting blindness by developing new technology, therapies, and knowledge to retain and restore vision including stem cell research to eliminate blindness.

Foundation Fighting Blindness 

The Foundation Fighting Blindness is the world’s largest non-governmental source of research funding for Usher syndrome. Since 1971, the Foundation has raised more than $350 million toward its mission of finding preventions, treatments, and cures for the entire spectrum of retinal degenerative diseases, including Usher syndrome.

Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind 

Committed to providing the highest quality educational, clinical, vocational and rehabilitation services for children, youth and adults who are blind or visually impaired.

NISRA (Northern Illinois Special Recreation Association)

Providing social activities for children and adults with disabilities.

Join our mailing list to attend the annual NISRA fashion show!

IPVI (Illinois Parents of the Visually Impaired) 

Provides support to parents by linking families with resources available to educate visually impaired children.

Horizons for the Blind 

A not-for-profit organization founded in 1977 to improve the quality of life for people who are blind or visually impaired by increasing accessibility to culture, education, recreation and consumer information on a national basis.

The Future of Vision Foundation has donated $100,000.00 to these organizations.
